I think just about everyone has heard of the new Netflix series called "Stranger Things." It is a super imaginative and out of this world show that stars children as the heroes. The sci-fi fan that I am I would have to recommend it to everyone. However, I realized that there were some moments in the show that just had to remind me of college. Here are some stranger things that we have probably all felt at some point in college.

When the professor picks on one student.

We've got you, dude. We have all been there. We have all been called on for a question when we do not know the answer...at all. We feel your pain and we've got your back. Some of us will even try to chime in if we know to take the attention off of you.

When you thought it was OK to get ready in 15 minutes.

Have you ever thought that you were all good to go, but then you catch your reflection in a car window or glass door? Yeah, me too. You can't help but wonder if you have looked like all day and you tell yourself that you will wake up earlier tomorrow but let's be real, we are just lying to ourselves, we are lucky if our socks match and we are somewhere in the same color scheme.

When you get too hyped about social events.

We all get way too excited about something. Luckily most of us have friends who will let us know when we need to stop freaking out and just it together.

When your buddy passes their exam.

Let's just celebrate the small victories because sometimes that is all we've got. Go for it and set up that proud mom fridge in the door. Brag about your friend. Show them love because college is hard and support can be a game changer.

When you and your friends try to explain to your parents what you've been doing with your time.

OK, but like between classes, activities, social events, clinical hours and more, it's amazing that some days we can still function. Most of the time we are a mess and will not have the best explanation for our time management or spending habits, but hey, at least we are trying.

When anyone or anything says, "free food."

We are hungry literally of the time. However, we are also on a budget. Basically, free food is our love language. We will come running if we are promised a cookie. We need fuel.

When everyone freaks out when you actually look decent for class.

At some point in the year, everyone turns to yoga pants or sweat pants. When you have a presentation or project and dress up everyone goes nuts. They might even ask what is wrong with you, and you realize you need to try more. However, they are all in sweats too and you're just as freaked when you see them put in an effort.

When that one students goes through the reinvention stage.

Everyone thinks college is a time to change who they are completely. It can work for some people and it can be tricky for others. However, we have just learned to go with it.

When your friend starts to lose it in a rant and you're just like...

We all have our little breakdowns where we feel like there are not enough hours in the day, and that we will never get anything done. Sometimes we are on the ranting end, and sometimes we just have to be on the listening end.

When someone actually thinks you can make it.

We are just giving it our all and we all know the feeling when someone notices how hard we are working. Keep up the work! At least we are not getting attacked by monsters, am I right?

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
