If you are among the many who have become entranced in the Duffer Brothers’ “Stranger Things” series, then there is some good news for you.

Starting in the tail end of 1993 Chris Carter debuted his newest creation, “The X-Files”, a TV series that followed FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and his partner Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) on their quest to solve paranormal files.

Mulder is relentlessly in search of his younger sister Samantha who he believes was abducted by aliens in their home when they were young. The experience prompted Mulder to delve into the world of paranormal research. Scully, on the other hand is a skeptic on all things out of the ordinary. She is scientific-minded and relies on what she knows to be true, while Mulder thinks of things outside of the universe (sometimes literally).

Although The Duffer brothers have confirmed that “Stranger Things” is set to take a deeper look into the Upside Down next season, we have only seen a peak into the realm thus far. While “The X Files” deals with variations of a supernatural world on an episode to episode basis. Whether it is a group of vampires (Season 2, Episode 7), a troubled shapeshifter (Season 4, Episode 20), a thousand year-old lizard man (Season 3, Episode 10), or a seemingly alive gargoyle (Season 3, Episode 14) “The X Files” is based around bizarre, unexplainable occurrences.

Similar to “Stranger Things”, “The X Files” gathered a strong cult following early on and created a deep fan base. Both shows are garnished with phenomenal acting and cinematography. These two things are needed in order for a TV show to be realistic and gain notoriety. “The X Files” has an 8.7/10 rating according to IMDb, while “Stranger Things” has racked in a slightly higher rating of 9.1/10 according to IMDb.

Perhaps “Stranger Things” is the the new and improved “X Files”. With young male leads and highly talented writers, it is surely one of the best Sci-Fy TV shows in years. All I am waiting for now, is Mulder and Scully to guest star, meet Eleven and take down Hawkins together!

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
