I saw tweets about the new Netflix series, Stranger Things. So, I figured I’d give it a try. A try that ended with me staying up until the wee hours of the morning, thinking my mom was going to open my bedroom door in a few hours and ask me why I was still up. Yeah, this show is worth losing sleep over. I was the last one to fall asleep. At four something in the morning.

Here’s why you should give this show a chance:

1. If you like horror, drama, mystery, thriller, etc. then you're in luck!

This show is all that. Enjoy.

2. The cast is amazing

Like, ugh. Can they be anymore amazing?

3. The Monster

Yes, the monster. You start to wonder what else this creature can do.

4. The questions at the end of Season One

I'll forever be wondering and hoping for a season two. I need these questions answered. . . Now!

5. It keeps you on edge

With how every episode ends, you wonder what the hell could happen with the next episode. Let alone, a second season!

6. Binge-worthy

You keep wanting to find out what happens, so you keep clicking ‘next episode’ and before you know it, you finished the entire season.

7. Eleven or "El"

I love this character so much. Her powers are amazing and just everything else. She is one of my favorite characters.

8. The character development

There’s so much more. I love Lucas’ and Hopper’s development the most.

9. The 80s vibe

The show takes place in 1983 and I love it.

10. The season one finale

Like, what was with that ending?!

11. The Upside Down

Like, I want to know more about this universe. Are there others?

12. It's very real

Okay, maybe not real in the sense of this alternate dimension. But it’s real in the fact of there’s always the worried family of a loved one going missing. Real in the sense of the relationships and the drama. Real in the sense of the Government is hiding things. Believe it or not, this show does show that the government does hide things.

There’s so many more reasons as to why this show is real in a sense people now-a-days experience. Sometimes I do wonder if there’s alternate universes and such, if we’re being honest here. I do believe that.

I do recommend watching Stranger Things on Netflix right now. You won’t regret it.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
