This past week a lot of newsworthy stuff has happened. Everything that has happened in Dallas, cops shot during routine traffic stops, the Falcon Heights shooting, the shooting in Fresno, and ect. It's horrid that I have to say "and ect." when talking about tragedy in this great nation.

All over Facebook and Twitter, people have been very vocal with their opinions about everything that is going on. People are asking for prayer. I have seen so many arguments break out over the "causes" of what's behind all of the violence. Lets be real, it's people.

People are so hung up on their own beliefs and their own lives that they can't see what is happening. ISIS doesn't even have to do anything because we are killing ourselves. Stop looking at others based on preconceived notions. If you don't like someone or something, avoid it. You don't have to make a scene.

I am so sick of scrolling and seeing "black lives matter, blue lives matter, and all lives matter," everywhere. No matter where you turn someone is posting about it. No matter which you post, someone won't like it. People complain about black lives matter, people complain about blue lives matter, and people complain with all lives matter. I don't see the problem with "All lives matter." It isn't belittling anyone. It isn't saying one is more important. It's simply stating a fact. Quit being so offended because someone isn't 100 percent supporting whichever you support.

Yes, Black lives matter needs to happen. They are singled out in society. Yes, I also see the point of blue lives matter, because people keep getting offended and killing officers. I also see the point when people say All lives matter. This is honestly the first I have posted/said my opinion on any of this.

People need to realize that they are killing are real people. They have families who are going to be hurt and resentful forever. This resent is just going to keep the endless cycle of violence going. It won't ever stop until someone decides they are going to change it. It just doesn't seem as if that is going to happen anytime soon.

Quit searching for motives simply to judge them. Quit blaming the guns when it's clearly the people who are at fault.

People are people. Pray, if that's what you believe. Quit being so negative when others don't fit into your idea of what society should be like. Stop the hate. Stop the madness.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
