With summer right around the corner, that "summer bod" is knocking at everyone's door. Just because bikini season is finally here, it does not mean you have to put the pizza down and resort to kale chips. There are so many simple and easy things to do through the summer and start now to feel great and look great without always saying, " I am going to start my diet tomorrow."

1. Change up your workout

Enjoy running near the lake on a beautiful day or take a bike ride around the city. Changing your workout is essentially keeping your body in shape. Yeah, running is great, but using the elliptical or bike is also great in order to target different muscles to tone and shape! Also, never forget to constantly stretch.

2. Lemon water

Water, water, water! Water is the key to basically everything. It's calm and refreshing, especially in the hot summer sun, so why not spice up your water with throwing in a few lemons? Lemon water is one of the best ways to keep your body hydrated and flush out any bad toxins. It also is great for your skin and boosts your immune system to keep you looking great all summer long.

3. Cut out that pop

Stop drinking pop. Stop using it in your drinks or as chasers. Pop is one of the simplest things to cut out of your summer routine in order to stay fit and healthy. Substitute pop for either a juice or even a sports drink.

4. Lessen the carbs and dairy but DO NOT cut them out completely

Eat bread and eat your feta cheese, but do not have them every day. Eat them and watch yourself. I love them just as much as the next person, but just having them less can have a huge impact on your diet and you will see results immediately.

5. Green tea

Green tea is one of the best ways to boost your metabolism and stay healthy. Drink it in the morning or before bed but, either way, it will do your body justice. Green tea has so many benefits even more than lemon water. I suggest to drink at least one cup a day and you will see great energetic results soon.

6. Moderate your drinking

Even your day drinking and night festivities but pace yourself. Drink water in between drinks or chose drinks with fewer calories. Like stated above avoid drinks with pop and sugary mixers. Keep hydrated and enjoy that mimosa.

So enjoy that ballpark hotdog and that ice-cream cone. Keep indulging in your favorite things and make these healthy tactics apart of your everyday life and you will be good to go. So wear that bikini and feel great. Enjoy the sun and the heat. Have a great summer and start it off right with feeling great about yourself.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
