Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father. Bruce Willis is actually a ghost in 'The Sixth Sense'. Jon Snow dies in season five of 'Game of Thrones'.
The last one really strikes a nerve with me. About two weeks ago I started the critically acclaimed series 'Game of Thrones' already know about this stars death. Before i started the show i didn't really care. I was all like "Jon who?" Once i delved deep into the show i started to get attached to this character but I knew about his ultimate demise. All I could think about was his death and that everything he does is stupid becasue he will eventually die (Fun Fact: it took me two weeks to finish the show and i am proud).
Stuff like this happens to be all the time. Before i get to watch a good movie or television show it has already been ruined becasue people cant keep their big mouth shut. And i bet your thinking "But im sure the articles say 'Spoilers ahead'" And yes they do but that doesn't really stop you from finding out what happens.
Walter White dies at the end of the last episode of Breaking Bad. That was global news! That ending was known before the episode even aired! to me there was no point in watching that show once i found out about the ending becasue again everything that character did would just be an eventual waste of time.
Author J.K. Rowling knows this struggle. The name may sound familiar becasue she wrote the Harry Potter series. The ending of this series was ruined the moment the final book hit shelves. Me being a big fan was upset by this becasue i couldn't get my hands on a copy of that book until i got back from summer camp that year. Even in summer camp with no electronic devises knew the ending to the series becasue of spoilers.
Recently Rowling created a new part to the Harry Potter story which is a play that is being shown in London, England. She is releasing the script to the show as a book for all of those fans who cannot travel to London to see the production. Before the first day the show premiered, Rowling tweeted out asking that anyone who sees the production to not ruin anything for people who have to wait for the book to come out on July 31st. And guess what. NO ONE RUINED THE SHOW! No spoilers, no nothing! people respected the authors request and so far after a couple of weeks of shows there have been no spoilers.
I know that this is an impossible request but can people please STOP RUINING STUFF. Its getting really annoying that i cant go anywhere or watch anything without already knowing what happens. There is a special place in Hell for people who ruin stuff and you can bet you'll end up there if you keep spoiling stuff.
