How many alarms do you have set to make sure you actually get up in time? Did you get stuck with one of those dreaded 7 AM classes? I know we have all hit that snooze button at least a few times. I know I am guilty of pushing my snooze button for the equivalent of an hour after my alarm goes off.

1. Keep your alarm clock (or your phone) out of reach.

When you keep your alarm clock right next to you, half the time you will just hit snooze without even remembering you did it. Therefore, when you keep it out of your reach you will actually have to get up and turn it off.

2. Caffeine!

Instead of waking up to smell the roses, wake up and smell coffee. The scientist have found out that the compounds that make up the scent of coffee beans was enough to release certain proteins in the brains of sleep-deprived laboratory rats, including one known for its antioxidant function.

3. Use a heater.

Who wants to stay in bed when it is all hot and sticky? I usually only have problems waking up when it feels so cold and all I want to do is lay in bed and keep warm. You don't have to use a heater, you could also just use the blankets surrounding you.

4. Use an alarm that scares you.

What is a better way than be jolted awake and having adrenaline pumping through your veins.

5. Go to bed earlier.

Yes, going to bed earlier will help you stop hitting that snooze button.

6. Use an alarm that requires more than a press.

There are many apps that you can use that can make you shake your phone or do basic math problems to turn off your alarm.

7. Set multiple alarms around the room.

Setting multiple alarms around your room, which will require you to move around even more would help you get out of the bed and get ready for class.

8. Ask someone reliable to wake you up.

We all have someone we can count on, right? Maybe you can train your favorite pet to wake you up in the morning.

9. Go back to sleep.

I feel like if you can not find any of these that are helpful, you probably just need more sleep.

10. Make your own Wake Me Up Machine.

A great invention until it snags your hair. I am sure you will have a great time waking up with this in the morning.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
