Stop Searching For Perfect

The more we look for what we think we want, the more we miss out on what we have.

Let me start off by saying that there is no such thing as perfect. There are some brutal truths of the world that we need to accept, and this is one of them.

Truth is, you will have bad hair days. Your favorite jeans won’t fit right. Someone will break your heart. You will be wrong. You will cry. A lot. You will stumble and fall. You might feel like a failure.

However.

You will have amazing hair days. You will be comfortable with your body. You will fall in love. You will learn. You will laugh. Laugh way more than you will cry. You will pick yourself back up. You will be a success. You will shine.

So.

Stop looking. Stop trying to make your life perfect. Don’t try to paint the picture of your life before you have seen it for yourself.

Learn how to first be happy on your own, second with the friends who love you no matter what, and let the rest fall into place.

Life is too short to strive for everything you always thought you wanted. Sometimes you don’t know what you want until you get it. And usually, you get it when you are least expecting it.

We only have so much control over our lives. We have to let go sometimes and have faith that things will work out in our favor.

Don’t waste your time searching for what you may never even find.

And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
