Dear college professors,
College costs a lot of money. Tuition can be in between ten thousand dollars to as much as sixty thousand dollars a year.
Not to mention, we have to factor In the cost of housing, textbooks, meal plans, etc. But the last thing I thought that I would have to pay for is to do my homework.
I am taking five classes this semester and I have to pay for online "services" in order to complete my homework assignments. The total cost for all three online homework services will be around an extra two hundred dollars. Remember, this does not include the cost of all of my textbooks for said classes.
Without purchasing these subscriptions, we would essentially fail the class. Every single quiz, assignment, and exam is being given to us through these websites.
I know two hundred dollars doesn't necessarily sound like a lot of money but it's a lot for a broke college student like myself.
My roommates and I are all currently living off of various types of boxed pasta and frozen lunches so I don't think we have an extra eighty dollars to pay for online quizzing subscriptions.
Personally, I am all about investing in my education. But, I feel like there are many other free options for professors to use in their classes.
Sincerely,
All college students
