Dear Reader,
Growing up, I was always one of those people that had to make everyone around me happy. I’d look for approval through a smile, even if my facial expression didn’t match. I hated it when people would cry especially when it was my fault. Pleasing the people around me was what mattered the most and it always came first.
Then I realized how much crap that was.
You see, sometimes we worry so much about someone else’s feelings and we ignore how we really feel about the situation. We forget the fact that we have to be happy ourselves before we can make anyone else happy.
I hope you realize how important it is to be happy and genuinely content with whom you are and what you’re doing in life. No one has the right to judge you for past mistakes, current mistakes or future mistakes. You are your own person and how you feel matters despite what anyone else leads you to believe.
Sincerely,
Someone Who Figured It Out
