Stop, Drop, And Relax

As college students, we want to do it all. We want good grades, a decent part time job, an active social life, stay involved in clubs and sports, and sleep on top of it all. So, naturally, there are times where stress can get the best of us. If we take a minute to unwind and realize what’s really important to us, we can see a little more clearly. So take a minute of your day to relax, sit down, lie down, and do something for yourself. So here are some quotes to help you chill out about being the perfect college student.

“Stop worrying about what you have to loose and start focusing on what you have to gain” -Unknown

“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle” -Christian D Larson

"There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind” –C.S. Lewis

"Life is like a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving” –Albert Einstein

“Sometimes you simply need to drift aimlessly, in order to reach the destination of aim” -Lionel Suggs

“Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” -Winston Churchill

“It doesn’t matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” -Confucius

And my personal favorite…

“If you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful.” –Erik Thomas

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
