Valentine's Day is extremely overrated. People spend hundreds of dollars on materialistic things as a way of showing their love to someone. When people think about Valentine's Day, they either think about all the obligations they have to their loved one or if they're going to get lucky that night.

If you're like me and believe that Valentine's Day is overrated, this article is for you! Here are a few reasons why Valentine's day sucks

1. Being single

Nothing reminds you more of just how single you are until Valentine's Day comes rolling around.

2. It's not original

Chocolates, flowers, sex, candles; blah blah blah. Where's the originality???

3. Bad intentions

Most people nowadays just take each other out because it would be rude to take someone straight to the bedroom without buying them dinner first.

4. It burns a hole in your pocket...

What's the point of emptying your bank account for one day? Save that money for a week-long vacay to the Bahamas!

5. Boys are the worst. 'Nuff said.

6. It's only one day of love

Love should be celebrated every day, why is it specified to just one day? Lame.
