Safety should be our number one concern and these devices do not offer that.

The Hoverboard.

One of the laziest and most worthless inventions around, in my opinion. I understand the commodity of having one, but honestly, why on Earth would you ever buy one? For starters, they don't even hover (rip-off, if you ask me) and second, they are completely unsafe. That's right, unsafe. There have been stories around the world, not just in California, of Hoverboards catching fire and destroying homes. There is a sad incident of a hoverboard catching fire in Australia and destroying a family's home, and this is just one of many incidents of destructive hoverboards catching fire and ruining lives around the world.

($1 million dollar home destroyed after hoverboard fire)

It's stories like this that make you cringe, but then most people will automatically say "it won't happen to me." However, that's where you're wrong. There's a good chance that it will happen to you and countries and companies are taking the initiative to protect you, your loved ones and everything you own. Recently in the United Kingdom, as of December 2015, over 17,000 hoverboards have been inspected since October 15 and over 15,000 of them were confiscated due to being too dangerous for public use. That's roughly 90 percent of all the inspected hoverboards to be confiscated.

And don't think that these hoverboard fires only destroy properties and belongings. There is another sad incident of a hoverboard fire killing a family's pets and anyone who has a pet can safely agree that pets are a part of the family. They are as much your children as your own children are, and you treat them as such. So why put them at risk? Why bring something into your home that could kill your loved ones?

The answer still eludes me and even with all of these stories out there people are still buying them. And when the list of where these things are illegal and banned keeps growing should also put a damper on someone wanting to purchase one. Cities like New York and countries such as the United Kingdom have both made hoverboards illegal to us in public. Also, hoverboards are banned on airplanes and the list keeps expanding all the time (here is a good list of where hoverboards are banned). So why keep buying them and putting everything you own and love at risk?

We need to take action now against these dangerous machines and save what we hold dear, but if you don't believe me then search "hoverboard destroy's home" on Google and see what comes up. Take the incentive, don't let this happen to you, and boycott the Hoverboard. Safety should be our number one concern and these devices do not offer that. Be smart and think before you purchase because not everything on the market is entirely safe.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
