If Stonehill's Dining Options Were People

You can't deny these meals have character.

The Roche Dining Commons at Stonehill, despite its extremely unfortunate name, has a lot to offer. From Ronnie on the panini station, the not-so-friendly cashiers, and Bill at the grill, there are a lot of fun characters. However, some would argue that the meals could be characters themselves. How? Well, let's just find out.

The salad bar.

The salad bar would easily be the trusted old friend. Someone in your life you fall back on when everything else is going wrong. You always know they'll be there and they never let you down.

The panini station.

Similar to the salad bar, this is always someone you lean back on. However, the second you do it, you might regret it. You might remember there was something you never liked about them in the first place, and you wait until the next time you feel insecure to run back again. It really isn't a healthy friendship.

The Crispy Chicken Wrap.

This person is the talk of the town. The one in high school that everyone knows, everyone likes, and everyone trusts. They have a lot to offer and you know one day they'll be mayor. How could you not like them?

Badly Wrapped Crispy Chicken Wrap.

This is the Crispy Chicken Wrap's BFF, but no one really likes them. They're always with them, so you see them everywhere, but you don't really want to. Their jokes aren't funny and they're always trying to draw attention toward themselves. No one buys what they're offering.

Tostada Bowl.

This is easily the friend that makes you laugh the most. They're a trusted favorite in your head, and every time you hang out with them you're reminded of how much you want to hang out with them more. Their spice and sassy comebacks always make you laugh, no matter what mood you're in.

The Deli.

This is your best friend. They're the first person that you go to for anything that happens in your life, and they will always be there for you. Sure, they have their off days but you'll never give up on them.

Rotisserie Chicken Dinner.

This person is your grandmother who makes you a delicious meal every time you come over. She always has the right things to say to you and you never leave her house hungry. She's a classic in your life and she always makes you feel better.

Pasta Station.

This is your friend's mom who really isn't a good cook. You always dread when your friend asks you to come for dinner, because you know the food is always bland and never as good as the food at home. It's definitely not inedible, but you definitely don't want it again any time soon.

Now, no matter what you think of the food in the commons you can't deny that they have character.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
