A lot of anticipation has been building the past few months regarding the development of Stone Brewing Hotel, which is set for completion for the first quarter of next year. Stone Brewery is ranked in the top 10 craft breweries in the United States and has become a staple for the Brewing industry, leading to the future development of the 99-room hotel.
CEO Greg Koch will be partnering with Robert Cartwright of Untitled Hospitality along with McMillin, an entity of Corky McMillin. The vision is one that began almost seven years ago and with the right team in play it was time to add to the legacy at Stone. The 100,000 square foot hotel will cost an estimated $26 million and will be a top destination for guests to stay at in North County. To go along with the 99 rooms, the hotel will consist of a 10,000 square foot rooftop and pool deck along with over an acre of outdoor recreation space for trails.
According to a source with San Diego Union Tribune all 99 rooms will be larger than 375 square feet, which is about 50% larger than standard hotel rooms. Sure to be a favorite among guests is the fact that they will be greeted with a complimentary Stone beer immediately upon checking in along with growler delivery service inside their rooms. Untitled Hospitality believes things are universally better when people do something the way they think it should be done – it is an understatement to say they succeeded with this one.
With approximately 500,000 annual visitors to Stone Brewery North County attracts additional visitors from local breweries, beaches and Wild Animal Park. The location site is located on Citracado Parkway neighboring the latest medical center; Palomar Medical Center is Escondido’s Research and Technology Center, the centerpiece of North Counties healthcare system and is nationally acclaimed to be one of the most advanced hospitals in the world.
