Have you ever found yourself wishing you lived a different life? Feeling like nothing you do is good enough or feeling like you aren't worth pursing?
In today’s society, it’s becoming more common for people to compare themselves. We see a super model on a magazine cover and wonder why we can't look like her. We spend so much time (way too much) scrolling through Instagram or Facebook, and feel bad about ourselves because we aren’t living the fabulous, adventurous, and exciting lives that our friends are. Maybe you've gone through a bad break up and you feel unwanted. Maybe you're constantly reminded of the mistakes you made in the past, and you feel dirty or unworthy of love.
Sometimes, these words run through our heads like a broken record:
Broken
Unlovable
Inadequate
Undesirable
Insecure
Unworthy
Dirty
Unwelcome
The enemy tells us that we don't deserve the Lord's love. He tells us lies that spark up insecurities and self-doubts.
But I want to tell you today that YOU are enough. You are enough because the God of the universe says that you are.
You are made whole and pure through the blood of Christ. And through His blood, instead of those empty words that the world says about us, the Lord says that we are:
Whole
Loved
Chosen
Worth Pursuing
Secure
Pure
Wanted
The Lord DELIGHTS in you. He desires to be your friend.
"But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light." -1 Peter 2:9
Comparison is a thief of joy. Lies from the devil are a thief of joy as well. So when the enemy tempts to fill your head with things that aren't true, say to yourself, "I am enough."
