The first official day of fall isn't until later this month, but some of us have already been given a taste of what Fall tends to bring. With pumpkin spice everything appearing back in Starbucks and a few leaves beginning change colors and fall off the trees.
We all love it and some of us even have a countdown for it.
In case you need something to look forward too or maybe you just need a little reminder of how great fall really is, here are seven stereotypical things to help you out.
1. Football
We all know fall is getting closer when football blesses our TV screens once again. This season has already started (and boy was it an interesting weekend).
What are you looking forward to this football season? Click here and find out.
2. The Time Change
Ah yes. That lovely time of year, where we get to roll our clocks back and get an extra hour of sleep. I can't be the only one who looks forward to that, right? Also, it means the days start getting shorter and the nights start getting longer.
I am definitely a night owl.
3. Holidays
Fall brings four of my favorite holidays. Halloween and Thanksgiving are the obvious ones. Fall break, something every college student I know looks forward too. And, my personal favorite, my birthday.
4. Fall Clothes
Hoodies. Jeans. Sweaters. Sweatpants. Everything we've missed wearing during the hot summer will finally make their debut as the cool air begins to drift in.
5. Pumpkin Spice Everything
I like Pumpkin Spice, but everyone seems to love it. It's already made it's arrival in Starbucks. Need I say anymore?
6. Leaves Changing
Being the type of nature person I am, I live for the fall colors. Going out and hiking when the air is cool and the leaves are changing around you. It's the perfect remedy for anything. It's also the best way to procrastinate.
7. Bonfires
Of course, you have these during the summer. But standing outside with mosquitoes, in 90+ degree weather just doesn't sound that fun. Bonfires are meant for cooler weather.
Obviously this list could go on and on, but I'll stop at seven. You get the point.
There are plenty of wonderful things to look forward to during fall. So brace yourselves, because the second most wonderful time of the year is about to hit.
