When the clock strikes midnight on November 1st, the Christmas lovers awake from a long summer's nap.

This is the time of year they live for, and there is no stopping them. Although society and big business push the holidays earlier and earlier each year, there will always be those who are obsessed with Christmas.

Here are 12 things stereotypical Christmas lovers do, and just not during the 12 days of Christmas...

1. Decorate before Thanksgiving.

Not only do they decorate before Thanksgiving, but they don't take their decorations down until February, if not, at all.

2. Christmas shopping is already done by Black Friday.

They are obsessed with spoiling the ones they love with presents, but they also love deals. There is no doubt about it that their shopping is already done by Black Friday. The gifts are probably wrapped too!

3. Christmas music is the only genre they know.

It doesn't matter the time of year, they will be playing Christmas music. They might not admit it or play it around you all the time, but they are secretly in their room listening to "All I Want For Christmas Is You" while you swim in the pool.

4. Have watched nearly every Christmas movie.

Everyone loves snuggling up and watching Christmas movies while it snows outside. On the other hand, Christmas lovers watch as many Christmas movies as possible. They probably are the ones who even love the movie Elf.

5. Are the most cheerful during the holiday season.

When the holiday season rolls around they can finally be themselves and others will embrace it. This makes them happiest the most.

6. Get offended when someone says they don't like Christmas.

If you say anything negative about Christmas they will say "What do you mean you don't like Christmas?!" It's better to just keep your opinions to yourself otherwise they will lecture you on why Christmas is the best. Don't be a Scrooge.

7. Their Instagram is full of holiday pictures.

When the holiday season rolls around, it is prime time for their Instagram to be blowing up your feed. Even throughout the rest of the year, they will post throwbacks from the holiday season.

8. Bake so many cookies.

They love making their traditional Christmas cookies, but also love making new recipes. Although they went overboard on the baking, you have to admit they are some of the best cookies.

9. Wear festive sweaters.

Their wardrobe has at least a dozen holiday sweaters or even t-shirts for the warmer months of the year.

10. Order holiday Starbucks drinks.

Whether they go to Starbucks on a regular basis or only treat themselves once in awhile, they will order holiday flavors when they do go.

11. Partake in festive activities.

They will go see Christmas lights, go caroling, see tree lightings, and even visit Santa Claus! If close enough, they most likely visit New York to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree.

12. Get everyone involved in the holiday spirit.

Whether the friends/family like Christmas or not, they are sure to get everyone to join in on the holiday spirit. It may be annoying, but at the end of the day they just want to share their joy for the holiday with you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
