Everyone knows that there are stereotypes for every state; people from Massachusetts can't drive, everyone from New Jersey is a partying guido, and all of the people from California love to surf and speak like they are always high. These stereotypes no doubt exist for us Connecticut natives as well, and while some of them may be true, these are the ones we're sick of hearing.
1. The entirety of the 1% lives here.
2. UConn Basketball is a religion.
3. Everyone is a prep.
4. We're cocky drivers because we put up with the Massachusetts and New York drivers.
5. Field parties.
6. Fights over sports teams because we don't have our own.
7. Concerts at XFINITY.
8. You experience all four seasons in one day.
9. All of the college students attend UConn, and so did their parents.
10. We hate New Jersey.
Whether these stereotypes are true or not is up to you, but these are the 10 most commonly heard stereotypes regarding us "Nutmeggers."
