The first 21 years of your life are the most crucial. You go through 4 different levels of school. Elementary school, middle school, high school, and college. That's a lot to happen in 21 years. You live and you learn, you love and people will break your heart, you fall and pick yourself back up again. But actually turning 21 is the best feeling in the world, it's like you finally have the freedom to be the mature adult that you want people to treat you like. Yeah, at the age of 18, you are technically considered an adult, but you have to wait until 21 just to drink and book hotels rooms, that's just crazy.

1. You can finally get rid of that fake ID

Now you no longer have to worry about getting into bars and trying to buy alcohol without getting caught. You can get rid of the fake and finally have the confidence in knowing that you are 21 and cannot get denied.

2. First purchase of alcohol

You can finally use your ID to buy alcohol at the store. You don't have to worry about finding someone else to get it for you because you are not old enough. But now people will start asking you to buy for them.

3. You can go out to the clubs and bars

You can now get into any club and any bar, even though you've been getting into bars since you're 18. But now you can get in anywhere which is even better. No more worrying about getting denied.

4. You need a DD

You no longer have to be the designated driver for everyone else because you are underaged. You can have them be your DD now. Or you can just take a taxi home.

5. Bottles for your birthday

People will buy you ridiculous amounts of alcohol ranging from beer to wine to liquor. It will last you for a long time unless you share, and I do suggest sharing because it feels like you'll never get rid of it.

6. Last fun birthday to look forward to

This will be the last year you will have something to look forward to. Like 16 and 18 are important birthdays so is 21 because you are finally legal to drink and buy alcohol. After this birthday, you can just do whatever you want.

Turning 21 and having fun is great, but then life starts to move faster from here on out. Well, at least that's what everyone I know tells me. Everything just flies by and before you know it your in your mid to late 20s settling down getting married or working. Well, I will enjoy my 21st birthday year as much as possible, even if that means celebrating 21 every weekend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
