Stepping Out On Faith To Create Your Ideal Reality

Major Key: Follow Your Dreams

Stepping Out On Faith To Create Your Ideal Reality

As the summer nears its end I made the long expedition back to the city that I've come to call my home, Atlanta. While The United States is known as the country where dreams are made possible Atlanta is one of a small collection of cities in the U.S. that essentially breeds stars, so to speak; make it here and you can make it anywhere.

On the car ride today my mother insinuated that a job in the medical field or a profession that had to do with sports. I've heard this statement hundreds of times and every time I hear it I cannot help but to be overwhelmed/ concerned for those of us in the world that are being discouraged from pursuing careers that may be more fulfilling for an individual's personal enjoyment but may fail to be considered worthy professions. While making enough to pay the bills should be a genuine concern it should not be synonymous of pursuing a dream that is more rooted into your interests, the liberal arts has not lost its appeal and no longer holds much purpose in the real world where living costs are on a steady rise and wages fail to compete with the rate.

For those that fear that they must come to a compromise and put their wishes on hold to have a more practical job profession I ask that you have faith that everything will work out for you if exert your maximum effort in making your dream work for you, you too can create the reality that you are searching for. The moon is essentially the limit when it comes to selecting your path.

Don't let preconceived notions of what it takes to succeed or a societal consensus of the same data stop you from doing that which makes you happy.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
