Worry and Anxiety takes a toll on the body and on the mind. It corrupts our everyday thoughts and our mood.
We aim to please people and sometimes the wrong people. We hold expectations high and are let down when those expectations aren't met. We become aggravated at certain situations that we put ourselves in and have ourselves to blame at the end. We come and we go with the 9-5 day schedule - nothing new. We become a routine inside a routine itself.
Imagine this: college students - We study for test and construct multiple projects throughout the semester - nothing new to us, right? (Routine) Our mindset is focused on getting to the class on time, finding a parking spot close enough to class, squeezing in a coffee run before, and overall making sure you have you life together. Am I right? (That right there is a routine within a routine)
It's so easy to get lost in the moment of realizing 'why you are doing what you are doing.' You have to reanalyze yourself and take a step back. Get yourself out of a 'certain routine.'
A quote by Michael Hyatt says, "Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion." Thanks to my sweet mother sending me this quote.
We allow stress to define us in words that overwhelm the whole purpose of what we initially are doing to cause the stress. We have the control on whether we take that stress upon us or quite frankly how it will affect us.
If you are anything like me, I can become stressed about the act of being stressed.. Odd right? I am sure i'm not alone here. College does a fine job to make stress prevalent for students.. and I believe stress is normal to a certain extent that is. It becomes an issue when we loose the sole purpose of what we are stressed about or if we are loosing our ever loving mind.
Believe in yourself - give yourself credit. Don't sweat the small stuff. Good things come in small packages. Work hard towards something you love and allow the rest to be behind you.
