SLEEPLESS PARAMOUR
What a cruel mistress,
To sweep in as soon as the sun fades into ocean blue.
How intimate is her acquaintance,
Something so seductive yet so vile.
Her lips tempting like sanguine ambrosia.
She stays with me until the sun revisits the waves;
She sways to the sound of crickets chirping, oh how her hips move.
She is robust with life when she's with me,
But cynical when she's leaves.
Pernicious, she fills me with hope and promise and genius artistic delusions.
Merciless, she leaves me desolate at sunrise with an insatiable aching for anything that tastes like happiness
