Spring is coming upon us, which also means that spring break is somewhere around the corner. Maybe you're not hitting up the sunny beach this year, maybe you're staying at home. That doesn't mean you can't have the best spring break yet.
So without further ado, here are some ways you can spice up your staycation!
1. Spring Cleaning
It's in the name. Having a clean work-space does wonders for your productivity. In addition, with a little creativity, remodeling or revamping your room doesn't have to take too much time or money.
Pro Tip:Fairy lights are a must. They'll add a warm glow to just about any corner of the house.
2. Explore the great outdoors.
Indian Seats Trail at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve
Just because it's a staycation, doesn't mean you have to stay inside. Go on a hike, and take your friends with you! Embrace spontaneity and adventure. Check out this picturesque four mile hike at the Indian Seats3. Movie Marathon
Now that you have plenty of free time, why not treat yourself to a movie marathon? Last year, I decided to do just this with my friends during break, and I had my first "Star Wars" experience. Needless to say, I've been hopelessly hooked on "Star Wars" since.
4. Go shopping!
Spring cleaning means going through your closet and preparing for the new season. Preparing for the new season means buying new clothes. So, logically, spring cleaning only means one thing... spring shopping! Worried abut spending? Check out a thrift store. There will be no shortage of fashionable, unique and affordable picks there.
5. Have a photoshoot.
Why wait for a special occasion to strike a pose? Grab your friends, make a cute backdrop and smile big. There's no better way to commemorate a meaningful staycation.
6. Amp up your fitness game.
Try out that new juice cleanse everyone's been raving about. Sign up for some Flywheel classes (that you might regret the next morning when your legs die of soreness). The options are endless.
7. Attend a concert.
There's nothing like hearing your favorite artist live for the first time. But, if you're anything like me, you probably have several favorite artists, and you just can't see them all. Be extra adventurous, and attend a free concert of an artist you've never heard of before!
