Summer vacations vary from student to student, depending on where we go, what we do, and how we do it. However, most of us fail to realize the few things that we can all relate to when summer starts.

1. The feeling of knowing finals are officially over.

There's immediately a giant sigh of relief when we all finish our finals and are allowed the freedom of summer; however, the exhaustion lingers. Not only that, but the act of moving out of dorms, packing away school supplies, and getting ready for the next semester is simply draining. When it's all said and done, you know you survived it all, but you feel dead.

2. How you will most likely feel when people ask how you did on your finals, and what you learned all year.

Get ready for the family and friends summer cookouts, where everyone will immediately ask about you major, grades, and what you learned. Whether those asking actually care or not, much of the information we gathered over the past few months was ONLY for the exam. What most people don't realize is that all you really have to remember now is to use sunblock once in a while.

3. Speaking of sun block, remember the feeling the first sunburn of the summer season? Now you do.

We can all wish to have the sun kissed tans and summer glow, but most of the time laying out will cause sunburn. In some cases, too much exposure to the sun can cause sun poisoning and increased risk of skin cancer. Not only is this extremely uncomfortable in every sense of the word, it puts a damper on summer vacation right away. Without sunblock, we all look and feel like Anger.

4. Midnight meals are a thing again. Unlike the dining halls, the kitchen at home doesn’t have a closing time.

The struggle for college kids of studying all night, and starving with one pack of chips left before the end of the school year is now over! The dining hall at home (aka, the kitchen) never closes. Now, we can eat whenever we're hungry, even if others might think midnight snacking is weird. However, if midnight snacking is not meant to happen, why is there a light in the fridge?

5. Sleep!

No more early classes. No more noisy dorm halls. No more pesky roommates. No more finals to study for. The time to sleep is now. Even for those with summer jobs, there's no need to stay up late worrying about an exam or paper for the next few months! So take full advantage and SLEEP.

6. You finally get to see everyone you missed from home.

Even if you think you haven't missed anyone, they missed you. Take advantage of the time you have with loved ones, friends, and family members. Although it might get annoying when they bug you about your other life back at college, it's only because they really care. Remember that no matter what, they're always there in the end.

7. Most important of all, you get to see your pets!

Out of everyone from home, your pets most likely missed you the most. And you can't deny that you missed them most too.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
