There is something about spray tanning that just makes me feel some kind of way. Let me break it down for you.

First, it's quick and easy. Some people can lay out at the beach for a few hours and have a beautiful, golden tan. I am not one of those people. I need to lay out consistently for about a week to get a good tan. And then to get it even with no tan lines and without getting burnt? Probably a good month. It only takes eight hours for a spray tan to fully develop! You can even do other things while its developing, like running errands, going to class or, the best one of all, get it at nighttime and just go to bed. Wake up a golden tan goddess!

Second, it is safe. There are no health risks (that I know of) from self-tanning. You can get as tan as you want without the harmful UV rays of the sun. Not to mention how horrible the tanning beds are for you. Skin cancer is real, ladies. Look like you live on an island without even stepping foot in the sun. Hello, wrinkle prevention.

Lastly, everyone just looks better with a tan. At least I do. I feel skinnier, my makeup applies better, my highlights pop more and I just feel 1000% more confident. While I know that there are cons to sprays: the smell, the sometimes orange look, the patchiness, I feel like the pros outweigh the cons by a long shot. If you are a spray tan virgin, try it! Go with a lighter color first to see how you like it and then you can build your color up from there. If they aren't your thing, I highly recommend finding something that makes you feel as good as I do when I am freshly sprayed.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
