You Can't Get Life Experiences Through Your Phone!

If you don't like the situation you're in, change it.

You Can't Get Life Experiences Through Your Phone!

We all procrastinate. It's going to happen. But we need to put our phones down and live life again. Constantly checking our phones to see if we got a text from a friend when there are other friends right in front of us (guilty as charged), is not how we should be living.

The thing is, we never know what life is going to throw at us and it's important to do the things we desire most right now! If you want to start working out and eating healthy, then do it! Don't wait 'til a new week or a new day to start, because you will not do it and have the determination to keep it up.

Life is way too short and we don't get that time back. Instead of saying "I'll do it later" or "I don't feel like it," just do what you got to do and get that paper done (I know, easier said than done). Let me ask you a question, though: how many times have you said to yourself, "I wish I would have done this earlier?" or "if I would have stuck with that hobby I would be a lot better at it?"

Life is going to throw a lot of curveballs at you and it's important to remember that we are not entitled to it. We take the days that we have for granted and know tomorrow is going to happen. That's the thing, though, we do not necessarily know that. How could we? That's also what makes life beautiful. Living in the moment and cherishing every second.

I'm not saying to quit school or your job. Please do not do that! Don't be afraid to take risks. Some of the greatest moments in your life can be when you get out of your comfort zone. Doing something that scares you is what defines you as a person. Those are your experiences.

Not going up to someone and saying hi because you're nervous limits you. Maybe you would have made a great friend or maybe not. The point is that you never know. We need the good and bad in life; if it was not diverse, it wouldn't be anything. That's why those moments are so special, because we know what suffering has been like.

Life can change in a blink of an eye, it's cliché but it's true. Nothing is set in stone. If you do not like the situation that you're in, change it. There are pros and cons to every situation. You just need to pick your sacrifice. There is always another option and if you can't see it, I'm going to ask you to look a little harder.

Don't look back on life filled with the longing of something more. Go get something more. If you're 18 or 60, I have faith that you can go and get what you want.

I'm writing this to help motivate others, but also to motivate myself. We all need to hear something positive. If you get mad looking at Facebook all the time, delete your Facebook. Anything that adds extra stress to your life. If you can get rid of it, then why not? Do something positive and productive today! You'll be amazed at how your life will change around!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
