The election is over. You can argue that the electoral college system is unfair and you can argue that the American people voted for sexism, racism, homophobia and islamphobia, but you can't argue with whom the President elect is because no matter how you feel, Donald J. Trump is going to be our 45th President. Mr. Trump is going to be inaugurated January 20, 2017; I'm sorry if you do not like that, but it's a fact, it's going to happen.

Now, I understand the fear, I understand why people are so upset that Donald Trump was elected. He did say disgusting things about women and his strong stance on abolishing abortion is terrifying for women who are pro-choice. He did comment multiple times on the deportation of immigrants and boasted about building a wall across the Mexican border. Trump only recently has softened his outlook on the LGBTQ+ Community and their rights, and has said many questionable things about Muslims, specifically refugees entering the country. These words and ideas have fueled hate in some of his supporters, this is where the fear comes from. Some of his followers are INSANE. But we need to remember that not everyone who is a Trump supporter is fueled by hate.

Yes, you can be afraid. Personally, I am afraid too. Not because Trump is our soon to be President, but because people have completely forgotten their morals and values. Here's a reminder, loving those around you and treating people with respect will be far more productive than destroying property and burning the American Flag. Another reminder, temper tantrums are for two year olds, so instead of throwing a hissy fit and being a blubber baby about the outcome, let's make sure to be proactive and begin to unite now. Trump will not get away with whatever he likes. Remember that there are checks and balances in our government. And remember that as citizens, we do have a voice. Trump can't silence us. In fact, no one can silence the American people.

It's time to act like the young adult's that we are. We are living in a generation full of entitled brats and if you are an entitled brat, sorry to break it to you, but you aren't always going to get everything handed to you and not everything is always going to go the way you want it to. As a young adult, realize that life is going to throw things your way and you have to handle those adversities with courage and intelligence. Make sure that the way you go about trying to get your voice heard, is done in a way that isn't harmful to others. Make sure that your anger is in check, it should come as no surprise to anyone that violence is not the answer. The only thing that violence is good for is broken hearts and a broken nation.

Remember to think before you do, think before you speak, and have an open mind. There is no room in this nation for hate. It is up to us to come together and make America the way it should be. America is the land of he free, it's a place for equality (which we will reach), it's a place of safety and it's a place I will always call home. Our next President of the United States is Donald Trump, but we are the people. No matter who our future Presidents might be, we are always the people of the United States and we outnumber the President 325 million to one. One last reminder: We can be the difference, the choice is ours. Choose to be the positive difference.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
