Starry Eyed For Coachella 2015

Starry Eyed For Coachella 2015

All of our New Year’s wishes have come true and the anticipation has finally ceased fire, because IT is here!

So cue the drum roll please…

COACHELLA 2015’s LINEUP HAS FINALLY BEEN RELEASED!

We can all sleep safe and sound now… Or we will continue the restless nights of excitement and anticipation that you have built up of your magical weekend frolicking around the Empire Polo Fields of Indio, California in April (ugh..feels so far away). But at least now with the minimal sleep you are getting, it will be filled with sweet dreams of watermelons, great music, hipsters, some strangely remarkable sculpture (like the snail or astronaut in previous years) and to top it off, a beautiful sunset with palm trees along the horizon.

Now lets get to the most important part, the lineup of course. Coachella has certainly kept up it’s name this year as one of the most diverse festivals in the nation. There are not many places in the world where you can be rocking out to the classic “Back in Black” by AC/DC, with the sound drop from “Heroes (we could be)” by Alesso in the near distance. But I think it is safe to say that this year, Coachella has gone back to it's roots, back to classic rock. Like every year, Coachella is far from disappointing any type of music lover. So whip out your headphones, get ready to scream during your freak out and prepare to lose about two hours of your day making a never-ending Coachella 2015 playlist.

Day One.

To be honest, I was in complete shock to see that Coachella was able to get AC/DC to headline this year. After five years of not touring, AC/DC will be loudly gracing us at the Polo Fields on day one of the festival in April, shortly before they begin their “Rock or Bust” European tour in May. And so we welcome them with open and way too excited arms.

EDM goers should be all smiles during day one with the return of Alesso to the Sahara tent, along with other names such as Porter Robinson, Nero and Key N Krates.

The more alternative rock bands that stick out on day one are Tame Impala, Interpol, Alabama Shakes, Ride and many others. But hip hop lovers should be surfing on cloud nine over day one with appearances from Azealia Banks, Flying Lotus and Raekwon, Vic Mensa and Ghostface Killah.

Then lets leave the rest of us to hope and pray that DJ Snake brings a few special guests along with him while preforming “Turn Down For What”…good luck friends.

Day Two.

On day two, everybody should be excited to see Alt-J, Hozier, SBTRKT, Belle and Sebastian and the Weeknd take the various stages, with Jack White performing a remarkable show on main stage and wrapping up another enchanting day at Coachella. And of course, nobody should miss Milky Chance perform “Stolen Dance” wherever he is set up!

Otherwise, the Sahara tent should have another good day with Flosstradamus, Deorro, Axwell ^ Ingrosso along with others, and Ratatat is returning this year too. Tyler the Creator will be around with other hip hop names like Run the Jewels.

All these artists will also be accompanied on stages across Indio’s Polo Fields by various other artists to hear and fall in love with too.

Day Three.

Coachella rarely disappoints, so I hope you're not too tired come Sunday of one of the greatest weekends of your life, because day three is certainly a woozy. For starters, Drake is headlining day three this year and along with his wonderfulness, hopefully he will be bringing a few of his friends to share the stage with him.

Dance music is having yet another big day with David Guetta, Kaskade, Kygo, Duke Dumont, Marina and the Diamonds, Madeon, Odesza and J.E.S&S, which is made up of Jack Master, Eats Everything, Skream and Seth Troxler. This should turn into an EDM lover’s heaven of deep house and extreme drops. Remember “Hello” from back in 2010? Well french DJ Martin Solveig will be around to show you a good time as well.

More low-key and up-beat alternative and folk artists to be excited about seeing live on the final day are Florence + the Machine, Vance Joy, RAC, Ryan Adams, Fitz & the Tantrums and St. Vincent.

So start planning your trendy outfits, filling your brains with thousands of lyrics and I look forward to seeing you all in the enchanting land of Coachella come April.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
