What does the day call for?

If you love Starbucks as much as I do, you would know that there is just about one drink for every occasion in this crazy life we live. Starbucks has a magical way of meeting our certain needs, making this company the ultimate MVP.

Below are just a few occasions where Starbucks makes all the difference in shaping life's experiences.

1. A sunny day at the end of spring: Caramel Frappuccino

This drink is perfect for when the sun is shining and you just can't get enough of it. This is also mostly prevalent at the end of the spring.

2. A hot day in the summer: Iced Caramel Macchiato

This drink hits the spot in the blazing summer heat. The iced factor is key in this, and the caramel adds a sweet twist.

3. Your typical Fall day: Pumpkin Spice Latte

Need I say more?

4. The coldest day of your life: Caramel Brulee Latte

This drink is comfort in a cup. Its taste hits the spot when a blanket of snow covers the ground and the temperature feels below 0 degrees. Additionally, this latte is best paired with a relaxing evening by the fire with a nice pair of fuzzy socks during the holiday season.

5. A rainy day: Iced Green Tea

Tea is the best drink to accompany you on a sleepy, calm day.

6. For the weekend: Iced Stawberry Acai With Lemonade

This is probably the most revitalizing and refreshing drink I have ever enjoyed in my life.

7. When you are pulling an all-nighter: Venti Cold Brew

You will have no problem staying up all night with the company of this drink. You'll eventually find yourself bouncing off the walls while going through your 350+ flashcards.

8. For the morning after the all-nighter: Venti Cold Brew

It's safe to say these drinks are sometimes responsible for our survival.

9. When nothing is going right in your life: Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino

Chocolate is one of the best remedies for a crappy day.

10. What your boyfriend, brother, and dad will order: Hot Chocolate

I don't know what it is, but this tends to be the classic for most. Is it fear of letting go of their manhood? Maybe we will never know.

So thank you, Starbucks, for always accommodating to your customers needs. We don't know if we will ever be able to express the immense gratitude we have for you.

Even so, after discussing all of these, I have started to crave Starbucks myself. So if you don't mind, I need to excuse myself.

I wonder what drink today calls for.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
