As many of you may know Starbucks is launching a new frappuccino just in time for spring. Personally I really enjoy when a new frappe is launched because they're usually super pretty and fun to order and make for great instagram posts. Like most other specialty frappe's this one too is for a limited-time-only so get your Starbucks cards/apps ready for the launch and the experience that the Crystal ball has to offer.
The new frappe is the Crystal Ball, which I know already sounds magical and like a beautiful sparkly drink, which it is...kinda. Per-usual Starbucks has not claimed the product exists but it has not denied it either so all good things.I have seen many pictures and videos all about it and how it's made so I 100% believe in it's existence. I have very reliable sources like popsugar, eater, refinery29, and delish who have posted articles about the drink.
I know what you're thinking, but whats the flavor? Well according to many sources and food blogs the flavor is peaches and creme. Personally, I am more of a strawberries and creme kinda gal but I'm still very excited to try this drink. The drink itself is peach-tea based with peach whipped creme and a turquoise tie-dye coloring. It includes gem drizzle which will give it its sparkle along with multi-colored sprinkles on top for shine. Given the photo above you have gotta admit it looks really good.
While I am hype for this new drink I do have some doubts. First, how peach is this peach gonna be. If you're anything like me fake peach flavor is not the best so if it's not actually peachy I will be slightly disappointed. Another issue I have is the color. The drink is peach flavored but the color is turquoise? I feel they could have made it an light orange or a light pink just to go along with the theme a little better. Also love the name, but the drink looks nothing like a crystal ball. I mean it has some sparkle aspects but when I think crystal ball I imagine a drink more white and silver with a lot of silver gems and sparkle to it, but i'm not the drink maker. Maybe we could also take this the other way around. Keep the coloring but change the name to something more blue like blue rainbow or ocean frappe or mermaid frappe. Idk guys just some of the aspects don't click like they did with the unicorn frappe but don't knock it till ya try it.
The drink is said to go on sale March 22nd.
See you at Starbucks!
