I have never been a huge fan of Star Wars. Up until about a year ago I despised Star Wars; I think that is because I watched under the age of 10 so I was not able to follow along with the complexity of the movies. When the 7th Star Wars came out I was forced to see it and it showed me the world of the Jedis.

Even thought I have technically seen all of the Star Wars movies, I still do not have a great knowledge of all things Star Wars. Even with out the background information, I still thought that Rogue One was AMAZING! This movie could be a stand alone movie, but if you love Star Wars then the you will be overjoyed with the little details that make the movie even more special.

Rogue One had a fantastic plot line, actors, and plenty of action. The movie was emotional when it needed to be which enriched the story that the film told. The viewer is shown more of the Star Wars world then in any other movie. The importance of friendship and trust is shown in this film without making it too much of a cliche. Also *SPOILER ALERT* there is no dramatic kissing scene when the two main characters are facing death. In too many movies, characters are about to face impending doom and they decide that this is the perfect time to kiss for the first time. I am a big fan of love, and am a sucker for cheesy rom coms, but those scenes in action movies have never made sense to me.

Lucas Films did a fantastic job with Rogue One and to most people's surprise, it was more popular than the 7th Star Wars movie. Overall, you did not have to know everything about the previous Star Wars movies to enjoy Rogue One. It was an amazing movie and I can't wait for the next one to come out!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
