It has been a long wait, but it's almost time for the return of America's iconic film series "Star Wars." The last movie came out 10 years ago, and there was little hope the series would continue. But thankfully, since Disney bought the franchise from George Lucas, new horizons have emerged.
Let's get into a part of the plot. Episode VII picks up 30 years after the Events in "Return of the Jedi." Both Darth Vader and the Emperor have met their demise. Since the defeat of the Empire, remnants have emerged through the galaxy, and the New Republic has formed.

But, all is not well. An enemy group who opposes the New Republic is rising; the Dark Jedi. They threaten the stable and fragile state of the New Republic.
As a result, the cloud city of Bespin has been converted into a massive Jedi training facility; one of many emerging through the galaxy. They are aiming to rebuild the Jedi order to Old Republic heights. This new Jedi order consists of about 7,000 Jedi's. Bespin is now the hub for a Jedi safe haven.
During regular training of Bespin the Dark Jedi invade the cloud city. The Dark Jedi are attempting to reestablish the legacy of Darth Vader. They even resemble the sith lord by the way their uniforms are outfitted.
As the Dark Jedi launch their attack they are ruthless, raining down upon the floating city. The Jedi of the city are taken by complete surprise, but the Dark Jedi aren't looking to conquer Bespin. They're looking to capture some of the Jedi's most prized holocrons that hold vast amounts of information, ancient ways and practices of the Jedi. The battle erupts with hundreds of light-sabers drawn between the two Jedi orders.
A few of the holocrons were captured by the Dark Jedis in the attack. With their mission now complete the Dark Jedi flee from the city and disappear. And their intention of how they'll use the holocrons is unknown to the the returning Jedi order.
This is but one scene we know about in the plot of "Episode VII"; the full plot is still unknown at this time. But if this scene is any indication, it shows how powerful the narrative of the "Star Wars'" universe can be.
Knowing just this part of the film leaves the audience with more questions than answers, for sure. But, it certainly leaves the fans wanting to know more of the already anticipated story. Does it not?
Luckily for all us die hard "Star Wars" fans out there, the wait is almost over! It's less than two months away for the beloved film series to make its big return. You can see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in theaters on December 18 of this year.
