I've seen arguments about The Last Jedi get more heated than political debates, and honestly, it's awful.

How one movie can split the fan base so violently is pretty appalling to me, so trust me when I say that starting an argument is the last thing I want to do.

That being said, I think at this point it's fair to surmise that the majority of Star Wars fans see The Last Jedi as undesirable at best. After seeing the movie four times in theaters, I can truly say I have a first hand account of just how messy the movie is. The Last Jedi has so many mistakes in so many areas of the film that it's just plain hard to overlook. I mean come on, even Mark Hamill hated the way Luke was portrayed!

Rian Johnson's cinematic failure aside, what will it take to make episode 9 a decent ending? Let's talk about it.

First off let's get one thing straight...I still have faith in JJ Abrams.

This is the man who created an actually competent opening to the new Star Wars trilogy. It was clear that JJ had a defined vision for the trilogy before Johnson took the helm, and i'm of the belief that he can still somehow salvage it.

But how? What dark sorcery could Abrams employ in an attempt to fix everything? Well to start, he needs to answer the questions posed in The Force Awakens. What is the real reason for Rey's force sensitivity? What did the flashback scene mean? Who are the Knights of Ren? All of these loose ends need to be tied up before the credits roll.

Another thing this movie desperately needs is purpose. How is the plot of this movie going to carry an effective ending to the Skywalker saga? Why is this new trilogy important in the grand scheme? At the end of the day, i'm still waiting to see a point to all of this other than an elaborate Disney cash grab.

In all honesty, what this movie really needs is to just be a good movie in general. No silly mistakes in fight scenes. No universe breaking additions. No bad dialogue. No pointless plot diversions. And finally, please, no more worthless "cute" little aliens that are created for the sole purpose of selling toys.

Don't let this amazing story go to waste JJ. We're all counting on you.

Until next time, may the force be with you...always.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
