During my time in quarantine, I was able to watch the whole Star Wars series for the first time. I came in only have watched Rouge one so I was under the impression that these movies were probably not my thing. Haha, I thought. I absolutely loved the movies and grew very attached to characters (I even cried like a baby when they died). After watching all movies, I decided to rank my favorite characters along the way. If you haven't watched there are a few spoilers, oops.

15. Jabba the Hutt

giphy

Jabba was one of the most powerful crime lord across the whole galaxy. He knew what he wanted and went for it, that is why he made the list.

14. Jar Jar Binks

giphy

Jar Jar Binks was one of the best supporting characters in the prequels. Although he was clumsy and seemed to mess stuff up, he is one of the best characters. Jar Jar is an underrated character and helped everyone out the best he could.

13. Rey

giphy

Rey was crucial to the sequels and was a very good Jedi. She had a lot of internal issues going on but that didn't stop her from becoming a Jedi.

12. R2-D2

giphy

R2-D2 was one of the most iconic droids of the series. He was always loyal to his best friend C-3PO and went on missions to save the day. He also had the best scream in all the movies.

11. Darth Sidious

giphy

He makes the list because MAJOR PLOT TWIST. I was on my toes trying to figure out who the Emperor was and then it turns out to be Palpatine. He was definitely a bad guy but he had a plan of taking over the galaxy, I honor his dedication to being a Sith Lord.

10. Luke Skywalker

giphy

Unpopular opinion: Luke was a problematic character. Sure he was the one who started the whole series but he was never the best character or the best Jedi. I thought he was an essential character in the original trilogy but he made me despise him in the sequels. Another reason he's not higher on the list is that he wouldn't stop calling Obi-Wan by the name Ben after learning his real name.

9. C-3PO

giphy

C-3PO charmed me with his witty comments and his dedication to his master. He might have annoyed all his friends but he always had a point.

8. Kylo Ren/Ben Solo

giphy

Kylo Ren was the son of Han and Leia, as well as the grandson of Darth Vader. He had one of the best character growths within his struggle with the Dark Side. I loved his connection with Rey, it was the best part of the sequels.

7. Chewbacca

giphy

Chewbacca was nothing but loyal to his friends and had to be the most lovable Star Wars characters. He was part of the best duo as well with Han Solo. I really liked watching Solo: A Star Wars story and seeing how the bond was made before watching the original trilogy.

6. Master Yoda

giphy

Fantastic is Yoda. Yoda was a top tier Jedi and was an iconic character for a reason. Besides Obi-Wan, he is the best Jedi Master and has a way with words.

5. Obi-Wan Kenobi

giphy

"Hello there." Obi-Wan was a great character from the start, I especially enjoyed him in the prequels and got to see his growth. He trained Anakin and was a great Jedi on his own (credit to Qui-Gon). Obi-Wan also has some of the best lines in the movie.

4. Padmé Amidala

giphy

Padmé was a strong and driven leader. She worked hard as Queen of Naboo and afterwards a Senator. She loved Anakin with all she had and her death had me heartbroken, she is high on my rankings because she was an essential character to the first three episodes.

3. Princess Leia

giphy

Leia was a natural-born leader and in my opinion a better character than her brother. She fought for what she thought was right until the end. She was a leader and carried herself with class.

2. Han Solo

giphy

Han Solo is amazing. He was arrogant but charmed me for how much he cared although he didn't want people knowing. I loved his relationship with Leia and his undying friendship with Chewbacca. Not to mention Harrison Ford is amazing.

1. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader

giphy

Anakin was my favorite character from the start. In my opinion he had the best character growth of all characters. I enjoyed the prequels as I got to see little Anakin go from a slave to a Jedi. Though he turned to the Dark Side he became the iconic Darth Vader. He also wound up saving his son Luke Skywalker from the Emperor which is basically dad goals.

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
