Friday, November 13, 2015, Paris, France was hit with multiple terrorist attacks. Suicide bombers attacked three different locations, and multiple other locations had open fire, and even 100 hostages were taken. Among the places attacked were a soccer stadium, a concert hall, and a restaurant. By the end of the night, the death toll was over 120 people, with hundreds more injured. Two Americans have been confirmed to be among those deceased.
These attacks came less than a day after airstrikes in Syria that are presumed to have killed Islamic State militant Jihadi John. ISIS has since taken responsibility for the attacks, and has stated that more are to come.
After the attacks, many cities lit up blue, white, and red, to show their support of France.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has displayed the flag of France at the Governor's Mansion.
Even Facebook has offered members the opportunity to light up their profile picture in the French flag.
If you would like to show even more support to France, you are able to donate to Friends of Fondation de France, Inc., or the French Red Cross.
