It doesn't matter what you choose to do with your life; you'll feel confident in your college path and Debby Downer will come along hitting you with "That's what your degree is?" We currently live in a world where doctors, lawyers, and engineers seem to be on top of the social scale. Every college student strives to be "pre-law" or "pre-med". The truth of the matter is only six percent of the working population are doctors and 1 percent of the working population is made up of lawyers. That means that 93 percent of working Americans hold full-time jobs in other fields that include benefits and high paying salaries. Now, more than ever your degree has come to mean less and less. Numerous graduates end up in different fields than their degree and are still successful in what they do. So when someone starts to go off on the "What are you going to do with that degree?" spiel start by remembering these 10 things.

1. Degrees are not one size fit all.

Most degrees if not all prepare you for a multitude of different fields. An English degree can prepare you for jobs in education, social media, and journalism.

2. Degrees in math and the sciences may be harder but that doesn't make yours worthless.

All fields should be respected evenly. Time and hard work goes along with every college degree.

3. Don't be concerned for me and my "easy" degree I will be able to find a job.

The amount of companies searching for hard working college graduates has increased 5 percent from 2015. With a good attitude, personality and work ethic entry level jobs aren't one in a million. Companies are realizing that younger employees with fresh ideas are the best kind of change in the work force.

4. Doing what you love is one of the greatest rewards in life.

If you want to be a professional food stylist or a water slide tester then do it and don't think twice!

5. Graduating is an accomplishment on its own.

Don't discredit the work that it took to get that loose leaf piece of paper.

6. When doctors and lawyers are in grad school you'll already be in the workforce.

Getting your foot in the door at a great company straight out of graduation is the goal for those with a bachelor's degree. Many companies will even pay for you to go back to school to get a masters degree later in your career.

7. If you're not quite sure what you want to do, getting a more general degree allows flexibility when it comes to a job.

How many people can actually say they know what they want to do with their life? Just because you're in college doesn't mean you have to have it all figured out. Your interests and goals will change numerous times don't be stuck with a degree you hate!

8. Any bachelor's degree has more value than you think.

Studies show that getting a basic bachelor's degree increases happiness, self-esteem and more satisfaction with whatever field you end up in. Getting any degree increases overall mental health, not just job placement.

9. After you find a solid career your degree won't even matter.

How many people do you know have a degree in marketing and a minor in public relations that end up working in insurance... really, in the end, it won't matter.

10. Screw the haters.

At the end of the day if you feel confident in the path you are taking don't let a random comment from some insecure person let your world come crashing down. You can do it and you will be successful.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.
