Stand Up For The Truth

Have you ever stood up for what you believed in to show your true standards and values?

Sometimes we may need to take a stand for what we truly believe for a matter of different reasons. Life is so full of different opinions that everybody may have something they represent and the value may hold significant pieces of the puzzles. Taking a stand is firmly placing your feet on the ground and holding true to the important issues that hold your heart. There will be many times in which you will be facing the giants in your life and you will have to take a stand for the significance of God the Father. True company and standards are taught by observing others and letting their lights shine no matter what bushel is trying to hide the truth, for the truth will always come out. Imagine being in a place where it is illegal to talk about you faith. Would you be wiling to stand up for Christ in a place where the illegality of speaking up for Christ would cost you everything and taking a stand?

I am reminded of the story of Job. Job was GOD's servant who refused to give up his faith for the earthly possessions. Satan took everything away from Job including his health, family and possessions, but still he remained faithful to God knowing that he took a stand for what really mattered and continued to serve the Lord through the tribulations he endured.

Job 42:1-6 (NIV) Then Job replied to the Lord: "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted. You asked, "Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?" Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. "You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.' My ears have heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

As Christians we need to use Job as an example for us because though he lost everything, he continued to stay faithful to God, continued on praying and took a stand for what really mattered and that was serving God. Are you going to Take A Stand for what you believe in and follow the example of Job bystanding your ground for the truth of God's word? Take A Stand for Christ and stay faithful. It may cost you everything but it will be worth it if you trust in God and know he will take care of you.

A-men.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
