Everyone knows the struggle of trying to write an essay and how difficult it can be. So here are the stages of writing an essay, and who better to describe the situation than the fictional girl who got into Yale because of her mad writing skills!

Stage 1: Preparation.

This means getting all the snacks.

Stage 2: Writer's Block.

When you have absolutely no idea what to write about.

Stage 3: Coffee.

Coffee will help me, right?

Stage 4: Inspiration strikes.

OK, this may make an alright essay topic?

Stage 5: Research.

Thank God for Wikipedia!

Stage 6: Actual research.

The moment you realize you can't cite Wikipedia as a source...

Stage 7: More Coffee.

Coffee got me through the research phase, now I just have to write the outline, and the rough draft, and the actual paper...

Stage 8: Panic mode.

When you haven't even finished the outline yet and it's already 8 p.m.!!!!

Stage 9: Accepting Defeat.

This usually means giving up and telling yourself you don't need a college degree.

Stage 10: Thesis time.

When you have given up all hope for finishing the assignment, this is usually the time a thesis will pop in your head.

Stage 11: Power Mode.

Who knew I could type so fast?!

Stage 12: Editing.

I can just edit it tomorrow... Right?

Stage 13: Completion.

You celebrate all of your hard work with sleep. Precious, precious sleep.

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
