She's your best friend, the one you tell everything to. She's the one you go to when you need encouragement. She's your person and her being far away isn't exactly ideal, but when you finally see each other, it's as if nothing changed. This weekend, on my spring break, I got the chance to visit my best friend at her school before driving her back home for her spring break. We didn't plan too far in advance, but the anticipation was there and we were so excited to spend quality best friend time together. If you have ever visited your BFF at school, you will know how it works. Here are all the stages that went into our visit.

1. Planning

This is a very important stage. Lots of details need to be arranged and decided before seeing your BFF. I decided to offer to pick up my best friend and bring her home for her spring break because she wasn't too far from home and I had never visited her at school. Once it was official she suggested I come the night before we were going to leave so we could have more time together. Naturally, I said yes! Then the excitement really started to kick in.

2. Excitement

Once all the planning is complete, both you and your BFF get really excited that you will be hanging out after a few months of being apart. I was so excited to finally meet her friends and spend the night in her dorm. There's nothing quite like knowing you get to see your best friend after such a long time.

3. Anticipation

As the week leading to the visit became days, and days became hours, the anticipation kept building until I got to see her at her school. I couldn't wait to finally get that girl bonding time I had been waiting for for so long. I kept picturing what it would be like and what we would talk about and I got even more excited.

4. Execution

After planning, excitement and anticipation, the day finally came! I packed up the car and drove two hours to her school. The drive was lovely because I had to drive west and I watched the sun set the entire drive. As I drove, I became even more excited and couldn't wait to get to her school so the BFF bonding could begin.

5. The First Hello

This was definitely the best part of the whole trip. As soon as I got to her school, I called her and she came to meet me where I had parked my car. She ran up to me and gave me a big hug and said she missed having me in her life and I felt the exact same way. I was so happy to finally be at her school and to spend some time with her.

6. Quality Best Friend Time

After the excitement of the first hello had ended, we were able to start our quality BFF time (or as we like to call ourselves: Best Friends For Life No Matter What Happens). We went to a men's volleyball game, ate chinese food, had much needed girl talk, I met her roommate and some of her friends and caught up on each other's lives. It was a great time and I can't wait until we get to hang out again soon!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
