Being home for the summer is great. You can see your family, your old friends, and, if you are like me, your dog. However, typically your hometown is much different than college, and from time to time you feel a myriad of emotions over the summer months.
1. Excitement
You're coming home! You can see your family and friends and feel happy to be going home.
2. Sadness
You realize that you will not see most of your Georgetown friends for three months.
3. Quiet
Unless you have many siblings, in college, you are constantly surrounded by a lot of people.
4. Happiness
You get to catch up with old friends (or Georgetown friends if you live nearby to them), and tell each other crazy wonderful stories about your new lives.
5. Well-rested
Let's face it, you're probably sleeping more.
6. Wanderlust
You want to travel to visit new friends, or just go back to school.
7. Lack of motivation
Packing to go back is a lot of work, and sometimes it feels like it just won't get done.
8. Acceptance
You are ready to go back and start a great year.
Whether you're taking summer classes, working, or have an internship, summer is a great time to have new experiences, but you also miss your school friends, and cannot wait to return.
