In just 12 short days, Penn State football will be taking over Happy Valley again, and 46,000 students prepare to welcome back our beloved game day traditions with open arms and full hearts. Whether you come for the student section or for the chicken baskets, every Penn Stater takes pride in being 107K strong. As we try to contain our excitement for this season, let us reminisce on our many sunny days spent in Beaver Stadium. And who better to tell the glorious story of a game day at Penn State than everyone's favorite human, Jimmy Fallon.

1. After many long months, game day has finally taken over Happy Valley.

2. You walk past a tailgate and find an adorable Penn State puppy.

3. You look at the screen of your phone beaming with pride after you and your friends take the perfect game day pic.

4. And you forget there's absolutely no service to even post anything. Maybe if you reach you can just get one bar...

5. They swipe your ID. You're in. This is finally happening.

6. S**t. And you've already lost your friends.

7. Reunited! Now we have chicken baskets and Fight On State is blasting through the stadium. All is right in the world.

8. The other team just scored. Are they even allowed to do that? Ref?

9. Alright so apparently the other teams can score??

10. And we scored. Suck on that. WE ARE PENN STATE, YOU ARE IRRELEVANT.

11. You lose your free pom pom and now you don't know what to do with your hands.

12. You hear the start of Sweet Caroline and you have already accepted the fact that you will not have a voice tomorrow.

13. Someone in front of you slips off of the bleachers and you feel like a horrible person for fighting back laughter.

14. When you think Saquon Barkley looks at you in the stands.

15. But then everyone starts singing the Alma Mater and you realize that the game is over.

16. Then you suddenly remember that you go to the greatest university in the world, and you'll be right back in Beaver Stadium next weekend.

17. And as you're leaving you find another puppy and you swear this time that you're never letting go.

18. All in a ~game~ day's work. Until next time, Penn State.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
