It's that time of the year again. With the semester coming to an end, the high levels of stress and anxiety of finals are back. When it comes to studying for finals, bad decisions are always made and regretted later on. We've all done it before, and we're gonna do it again, so here are the eight stages of studying for finals as told by Parks and Recreation.
1. Procrastinate
As college students, procrastination is our number one talent. We've got time. We promise we'll study later. Let us just kick back, relax and watch some Netflix.
2. Panic
Days 'til finals are winding down. Professors are wrapping up the course and reviewing material that will be on the final... and wait, what? That's going to be on the final? WE DON'T KNOW ANY OF THIS.
We go through our text books, notes, and many many back tests. We get bombarded with a giant load of information. It all becomes too overwhelming.
3. Regret
WHY, WHY, WHY DID WE NOT START STUDYING EARLIER?
4. Cram
We are now pulling all-nighters to cram for finals, living off only coffee and energy drinks. We start to be in denial of your mental state of mind and your friends become worried about us.
5. Rage
Then we hit that point and we give up and just don't want to study anymore
6. Eat
Food is our best friend. Food will make the sadness go away.
7. Desperatation
There isn't much time life. We start calculating the lowest possible score needed to still get the grade we want and email our professors in desperation. It's time to pull it together one last time.
8. Relief
It's over, it's all over. The semester had ended and we can finally go back to those stress free days of sleep and Netflix.
Good luck with finals everyone! It'll all be over soon, I promise.
