We all know the struggle- you want to have a summer ready bod but you're not always in the mood to put all that time in at the gym. You want the gains without the pains. But you tell yourself that the only way you're going to reach your goal is if you make going to the gym a regular habit of yours. Yet that doesn't mean you're jumping with excitement counting down the minutes to your workout. So here are the four stages of going to the gym we have to conquer daily.
Stage One: Getting the motivation to workout.
You're usually extremely exhausted from the day the last thing you wanna do is workout. In fact, you've been yawning all day and your bed seems to be calling your name. But you already put your shorts on and you tell yourself that this is no time to sit around and be a bum.
Stage Two: The walk/bus/drive over to the gym.
This is usually the hardest part because you're instantly filled with regret. But now it's too late- you're up and active (and it would look really weird to turn back now).
Stage Three: The workout.
Here is where you can make your dreams a reality and where the shit meets the fan. This is what can turn "blood, sweat and tears" into more than a phrase within a matter of minutes.
Stage Four: Leaving the gym.
You did it. This is the proud moment when you realize you've overcome your laziness and you're one step closer to your goal. Now you can go be the fat pig you always are and eat whatever you want because you deserve it... Congrats you're now a swoll bro.
