1. You start the tv show.

This is the first step and the most dangerous. You pick a new tv show that looks interesting.

2. You can't do anything else but watch this show.


It happens quickly and you can't remember when you finished the first season, but now you're addicted.

3. You avoid the spoilers like the plague.

You hide from the internet. You won't talk about the show and if you hear someone mention something you run away.

4. You finish the show.

You did it! You finished the show, but now your life feels empty.

5. You go on every tag for the show on social media.

You want to know what everyone is saying about the show. If the show is still running and even if it is finished you can look up theories.

6. You tweet, reblog, and like every post about the show.

You have seen every post about the show. You love everything you see. You feed is flooded with things about this new show.

7. You can't stop thinking and talking about the show.

People want you to shut up, but you can't. You need to talk about these amazing characters. The internet is boring and you just want someone to love the show as much as you do.

8. You try to do other things to take your mind off of it.

You try to start a new hobby, maybe a new show. But nothing can replace the show you love.

9. You decide to rewatch the show.

You made the decision to watch it again. Nothing else can fill that void. You feel yourself loving the characters again.

10. You finish the show again and start a new show.

You are finally over the tv show. You can start a new one now. It's time to move on.

11. The cycle starts again.

Well, here we are again. This new show you started filled the void of the last one, but now you're addicted.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks.
