If anyone understands a break up, it's Taylor Swift. Lets be real. And for those of us who aren't as experienced in the area, I've compiled a list of the seven stages of a break up, and the Taylor Swift song that goes with it, which can hopefully help get you through these stages when you face them.

Stage 1: Shock

This is your body's way of protecting you from this emotional blow. It could last minutes, days, weeks, it just depends on you! It's fairly common to not remember everything super clearly during this time, it's your brains way of blocking out the pain.

Song: Come Back... Be Here

Lyrics: "And this is when the feeling sinks in,
I don't wanna miss you like this,
Come back... be here, come back... be here."

Stage 2: Denial

You reject reality and cling onto your feelings and the past. You don't want to accept this, so you don't.

Song: All Too Well

Lyrics: "And I know it's long gone
And there was nothing else I could do
And I forget about you long enough
To forget why I needed to..."

Stage 3: Isolation

This is the stage where you've come to terms that it's happened, and now you have to process the emotions associated with this painful realization. You'll probably sit there and analyze what went wrong, and make yourself miserable. You might not feel up to going on social media, because then you'll have to clear out couple photos and change your relationship status, and maybe staying in your bedroom by yourself is the only thing that sounds appealing.

Song: Last Kiss

Lyrics: "I still remember the look on your face
Lit through the darkness at 1:58
The words that you whispered
For just us to know
You told me you loved me
So why did you go away?
Away"

Stage 4: Anger

The fun stage. You go from mourning the relationship, to hating your new ex for whatever you want. Whether it is a legitimate issue, or just that they wore the wrong color shirt in one of your couple photos that went up on Facebook and you now realize they ruined the photo. This is the stage where you just want to get rid of everything that reminds you of them... Like, say, burning his pictures. ;)

Song: Picture To Burn

Lyrics: "There's no time for tears,
I'm just sitting here planning my revenge
There's nothing stopping me
From going out with all of your best friends
And if you come around saying sorry to me
My daddy's gonna show you how sorry you'll be"

Stage 5: Bargaining

This stage is usually about getting your ex back, or trying to assuage the guilt you have from an action you took that resulting in your relationships demise. Basically, it's you panicking that you won't be able to do better, and wanting to run back to the safety net of your ex.

Song: Back To December

Lyrics: "So this is me swallowing my pride
Standing in front of you saying, "I'm sorry for that night."
And I go back to December all the time.
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you,
Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine."

Stage 6: Depression

This is where you realize how huge this really is. Like, they're out of your life, possibly forever, and that's scary and sad. You may have trouble sleeping, and a lose of appetite is also fairly common. It's important that you surround yourself with positive people during this period.

Song: Tied Together With A Smile

Lyrics: "Hold on, baby, you're losing it
The water's high, you're jumping into it
And letting go... and no one knows
That you cry, but you don't tell anyone
That you might not be the golden one
And you're tied together with a smile
But you're coming undone"

Stage 7: Acceptance

It happened, it's over, you're ready to grow from the experience. You're gonna learn from this relationship, so you can be a better person come the next one. It might still hurt, but you're realizing that this happened for a reason, and you'll always have those memories you created together.

Song: Red

Lyrics: "Losing him was blue like I'd never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met
But loving him was red"

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
