Squidward Tentacles has always been my favorite "SpongeBob Squarepants" character. For as long as I can remember, I've treasured his cynicism and sarcastic tendencies as he criticized everything in his life from his job to his next-door neighbors, SpongeBob and Patrick. Although I certainly don't advocate for everyone to be as negative as Squidward, I believe in acknowledging the fact that most of us share at least a small sliver of his pessimistic personality. The following lists five of Squidward's best moments throughout his misadventures in Bikini Bottom.
1. "Can You Spare a Dime?"
Squidward: SpongeBob, the remote's broken. Get over here and fix it!
SpongeBob: I have a better idea. Why don't I get someone whose job it is to fix it. See 'cause when I need a job done, I get somebody with a job to do that job.
Squidward: What are you saying?
2. "As Seen on TV"
SpongeBob: But a visit to the Krusty Krab makes everyone happy, and what could be better than handing out smiles?
Squidward: Being dead, or anything else.
3. "Squidward, the Unfriendly Ghost"
Squidward: I hunger for nourishment.
SpongeBob: Nothing but the freshest, your ghostliness. A grape fresh from the vine, your noncorporealness. A banana peeled to your liking, your immaterialness.
Patrick: One watermelon straight from the manure fields, your spookiness.
4. "Band Geeks"
Squidward: Let's just try stepping in rhythm. Now I want everyone to stand in straight rows of five.
Spongebob: Is this the part where we start kicking?
Squidward: No, SpongeBob. That's a chorus line.
5. "Pizza Delivery"
Squidward: Will you let go of that stupid pizza already?
SpongeBob: I can't, it's for the customer!
Squidward: Who cares about the customer?
SpongeBob: I do!
Squidward: Well, I don't!
