Squad. We all have a group of friends that we consider to be the best of best of friends. A squad would literally do anything together, they are the "Day Ones" that you will have for the rest of your life.
Every squad has #squadgoals. You know, the goals that everyone believes to have the best freindships between their squad. Many of us base our #goals on other peoples friendships, but mostly the ones that we see on television, movies and even, between musical people. Below are just some squads you probably wish you can touch with their #squadgoals.
11. Ferris Bueller's Day Off: Ferris, Cameron and Sloane
What better way to spend the day away from school than being with your best friend and your girlfriend? Ferris, Cameron and Sloane are the ultimate squad goals that anyone can start with. Take your dad's fancy car out for a spin? Sing in a parade? Pull the ultimate hooky? You need your best friends to do this; just your classic third wheel trio that is anything but awkward. It's fantastic and makes me wanna hang out with all of my friends and their boyfriends.
After this squad, the next modern one that I can think of the boyfriend, girlfriend and best friend squad is Corey, Tapanga and Shawn in Boy Meets World
10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Crew: Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael
Besides the fact that they literally eat pizza together (my atheistic as heck,) they fight crime together which is cool, and they will always have each other's backs. Even though they are siblings, they also show us that sometimes, even when we are mad at each other (because sometimes, they fight with each other) true friends will still have your backs no matter what.
9. Scooby Doo and the Gang: Shaggy, Velma, Daphene, Freddy and Scooby-Doo
What's better than chilling with your friends in a van and fighting crime? Well, being friends with a dog is a pretty good indication of squad goals. It makes you wanna just go and figure out all of the mysteries of the world, eat some Scooby Snacks, and just have a blast.
8. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger
Like any other squad, they are loyal, go on adventures like no other while waving their wands, trying to not get caught by Snape, and trying to take down Draco Malfoy and Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Because even if you're a wizard or not, we all have a Draco Malfoy and a tough class we all need to pass.
7. Rocket Power: Otto, Reggie, Squid and Twister
Before the squad in the Disney movie Brink! was cool, there was Rocket Power. This show about four kids had them shredding their days away. Chilling all day with your best buds doing what you love the best and learning the best Hawaiian sayings (okay, maybe just me there) is pretty awesome. Plus, the ulitmate squad makes up some killer nicknames because who really wants to be called Maurice and not Twister?
6. The Sandlot Crew
Spending the whole summer playing baseball with your buds is only some of what the Sandlot crew does. Who wouldn't want to get kicked out of a community swimming pool, vomit on the Tilt-A-Whirl and try to get a Babe Ruth signed ball? Also, chilling out making smores in a treehouse is kind of fun too.
5. That 70s Show: Kelso, Eric, Fez, Donna, Steven and Jackie
Because #squadgoals is blasting your favorite song and singing it together in the car. The That 70's Show crew goes through the trials and tribulations that anyone in high school would go through and did some of the craziest things together.
4. Saved by the Bell: Zach, AC Slater, Jessie, Kelly, Lisa and Screech
Chilling at the Max eating burgers with my friends and trying to not get detention by Principal Belding? That's what the Saved by the Bell squad usually deals with on a daily basis. They deal with many teenage angsts that we all have dealt with and have had our friends with us by our side to truly show us loyalty. They also last their friendship way beyond high school into college...which is something that everyone dreams to achieve.
3. The Breakfast Club: Claire, Andy, Brian, Bender and Allison
Different cliques meeting in one day at detention and somehow figuring out that they all go through similar things is what the Breakfast Club taught us about people. We learn that friendship is based on similar things, but that doesn't mean that we all have to be cookie cutter people in the world. Friendship squads work because everyone bring something unique to the table, which the Breakfast Club ultimately does by breaking stereotypes of people.
2. F.R.I.E.N.D.S: Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe.
Tackling adulthood with your friends is something that all of us are doing at some point in our life. The cool thing about friends is that there are smaller friendships and bigger ones. FRIENDS show us smaller friendships, like Monica and Rachel and Chandler and Joey. It's pretty awesome to see friendships withiin friendships; the coolest thing is that squads figure out how to make them all work flawlessly together.
1. The Golden Girls: Rose, Blanche, Dorothy and Sophia
Friendships will last forever, and the Golden Girls have shown us this. They show us that you can meet your best friends late in life, but also that we learn from our friends all the time. Friends will always teach you life lessons.
What friendship squad do you think your friends are? Is it on this list?
