It has officially become spring time and although it has a bit gloomy; the sun still shines. As the warmer days arrive, it means we don't have to cover all the way up. We can finally let some sun touch our skins, just always remember to wear sunscreen. But anyways, spring means shorts, skirts, and a bit of sass on the side, so let's have a bit of fun with it. Take all these looks as inspiration for what you want to recreate and just keep in mind you make these outfits shine more than anything.

This year, the new theme I have for spring is mixing in muted tones to add in an ease. So that the outfits will still stand out and be very light and airy. I tend to gravitate towards very neutral colors such as beige and whites, because when it's an actual hot day outside; I won't burn in the sun wearing very heavy clothing.

Off the shoulder tops have been very in this season, because of their whimsical edge. There is something very sexy and feminine about showing shoulders. It is a very flirty way to show off some skin and it flatters anyone.

Denim is always in style, so invest in it. There are new silhouettes that are being mass produced so don't be afraid to mix and match. You can even try the Canadian tuxedo and wear all denim. The key to that outfit is just mixing different washes of denim. You can never go wrong with such a versatile fabric.

Body suits are so much fun to wear because why not feel like a big baby, right? I am kidding, body suits can add to your outfits because you have to tuck it into your pants and they act as a very polished look. Also, you can just slip them on and out the door you go.

Besides spring being here, music festival season is also here. This is the time where boho meets hippie. With the spirited airiness, you are going to be comfortable in looks like these. Also, a plus you will look like a gypsy queen in an instant.

Another big trend this year is lace-up clothing. It's all about the details and making sure that it is something fitting towards your liking. This embellishment adds a major kick back feel to the 70's. It can go from being subtle to sexy depending on how you adjust it. Give it a try and it will be bound to be your go-to clothing piece.

Regardless of the trends just keep doing you. You don't necessarily have to follow each new thing, it just serves as inspiration for what you already own in your closet. You can even go to vintage or thrift shops to shop around for some looks that you can see on social media. Spring is here, so it is also time for you to bloom with your fashion. Don't be scared to try new things or just be comfortable in what you already own. Remember fashion is fun, don't take it out of that context.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
