Spring Semester As Told By Nick Miller

After completing a stressful fall semester you finally get to go home and rest during winter break. You almost forget about the worries of school work. Break seems to go by in the blink of an eye an before you know it you are back at school, back to the old grind. Nobody understands your spring semester struggles more than Nick Miller.

When people ask you what you did over break.

Sitting in your first class and trying to process how to school.

Seeing all your friends struggle to get back into the school groove as well.

By the second week you're asking yourself why you thought that 8 a.m. was a good idea.

Fortunately Spring break comes just when you needed it the most.

Unfortunately when it's over you're brain is so fried it's almost impossible to keep it together.

And you realize that you have 2 tests, a projects and a paper due next week.

You're struggling to keep yourself sane until summer.

When you finish the last final you feel a sense of relief... until you remember that you still have your winter bod.

Spring semester can be tough. Coming back from winter break, and then Spring break shortly to follow, trying to stay focused can be extremely challenging. Just know that Nick Miller understands your struggles. He's just as fed up with everything as you are. Stay focused my friends, it's only another three and a half months until summer.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
